Here are 2 more I forgot to post till now :) The one in the black shirt was taken 12/12 and the one with my famous shirt was taken 12/16. I should really clean my mirror and buy maternity pants.. Our house is all finished!! All we need to do is sign the closing papers and we are DONE. We can close whenever we like, but we would like to stick with our date for insurance, I think.. So we don't have to pay a pro-rated amount or something. Oh, I felt Kylan hiccup for the first time! He hiccuped about 12 times, from when I first noticed it. Well, that's about all the news I have for now :)

12/11 appointment details

So my appointment went just fine :) We got a good, clear, loud and long listen to our son's heartbeat. I love listening to it. I could for hours. Everything went just fine. I now weigh 138, so that's a total of 18 pounds gained. More than I would like, but doesn't bother me one bit! I just eat what my son tells me to :P Which isn't always the healthiest... Anyways. So my blood pressure was a smidge high, but nothing to be worried about they said. I will have to do my gestational diabetes test next but.. but guess how lucky I am? I only need a finger poke!!! Most people have to have a full on blood draw. I still have to drink the crap, but it makes me happy that I can have the testing done that I need through only a poke :) That will be on 1/6. Kylan is growing at a perfect rate, and kicking even more now. I have a feeling he's going to give me lots of bruises when he is a toddler! He's so strong!! I think that's about it for my appointment. Today we heard that our appraisal went through just fine, which means our loan is 100% approved! All we need to do now is get a little more paper work in and sin the closing papers, which we will most likely do in the 26th of this month. The house will be ours by January 3rd!!!!!!! Oh my gosh.. I can't wait to have a place to call my own and not have to move every year! :) Who wants to help us move?!?! Hahah. :P Oh! My oldest brother and my beautiful Sister-in-law are also pregnant! They are 9.5 weeks and due July 15th. Yay! They can grow up together! Haha. :P I will take a pic tomorrow morning, since I seem to take all of my pictures on Tuesday... Anyways. Have a good one. :)

Ok! So.. The good news you've all been waiting for!! We got a house! Well, not quite yet, we are just waiting for the loan to be approved. When it goes through we will close the sale on Dec. 26th and the house will be ours by the 30th! :) Yay!!!! So we will be moving in early - Mid January. Oh, so my shower is on Feb. 21st so if you want to come, you have to let me know so we can send you an invite! Nothing new has really happened. I thought I would add a picture though. :) Kylan kicks more than ever! He gets a little crazy sometimes.. I can't get enough milk lately! I LOVE it! Umm.. Oh! I got a prenatal massage last Wednesday :) It was nice. Cesar does a really good job! I would recommend him! He works at the Union Park location. Today I am 23 weeks and 5 days. 114 days to go!

11/13 appointment TWILIGHT

Today's appointment went fine. I made a huge stupid deal about having to get my finger pricked.. Just like everyone else.. She pricked my ear instead so I couldn't see it I'm lame, I know. Everything on the ultrasound looked just fine. I cant tell you how bad I worried about that. Blood test crap was just fine too. I think my next appointment I am supposed to have a gestational diabetes test, but she didn't say anything so.. it's not like I was about to! :P My hemoglobin (finger print) was just fine. need a touch bit more iron, but everything with Iron, I love! So that will be easy :) Apparently Kylan is very energetic! He was giving my doc troubles when she was trying to listen to his heart. He just kept moving ! I learned that loud noises are really bad, but bright lights are just fine. Umm. I should be having 4-20 Braxton-Hicks contractions daily, although I may not feel all of them. I do feel quite a bit of them each day. Heart plapitations are normal because of increased blood volume and dehydration. And I asked a bunch more questions, but they aren't anything cool. Oh, looks like I'm going to have to buy a donut to sit on at work. Lol.. How embarassing... Today I got to see Twilight. It's a pretty good movie. It made me cry. Hahah. I really couldn't care less about the stupid books.. But the movie was way good. Aren't you jealous :) Alright. Thats about it! I'll take a new belly pic tonight since its my 22 week mark.

Vegas & the ultrasound

So we had a surprise when we got to Vegas! James had booked an extra day at the hotel and completely forgot! I'm actually happy though cause we had an awesome time down there :) So since the ultrasound was at 11 AM and we didn't exactly want to wake up at 4 AM, I just rescheduled both the ultrasound and the appointment. The ultrasound is now on Friday at 3:30 and my appointment is on the 13th. I can't wait to find out what we are having! So while we were in Vegas I woke up one morning and was having a Braxton-Hicks contraction!! These are totally normal for anyone who was wondering. They start pretty early on and you can start feeling them around 20 weeks. They are painless and actually prepare your uterus for birth. Also, I went to a movie with Allyse like 2 weeks ago and in the middle of the movie, I received my first kick to the bladder. Oh my goodness... UGH! Baby can be felt kick around with your hand. Although as soon as you even get close to my belly it will stop. I wonder if you can see it.. I wouldn't let anyone else try to feel it before Papa (James) felt it for sure. It's just not fair to have some one else feel your baby kicking before you! :P Does anyone know of any ligament relieving stretches or something? Mine are killing me!! Weird craving #1

Today I woke up and just instantly wanted butter. I wanted a nice hot cup of melted butter. Mmmmm... Doesn't that sound soo good? Ha. So James and I decided, well, I decided what I want our nursery to be if we have a boy, MONKEYS!!! I registered for the set I want if anyone would like to look. I think it's so stinkin' cute! I love it :) We have 4 days until we go to VEGAS!! Yay! And then 8 days till our ultrasound!! Yay!!!! We get to know if its a boy or girl on that day :) Ok, I think that's all I have to say.. Lol. I will have James take a belly pic tomorrow.. hopefully.. Gotta find some batteries :)

Weight gain

I'm really not shy about my weight, even if I was huge! So at my last appointment (last week) my doc told me to gain 1 pound a week until my next appointment so that almost 5 pounds i need to gain. So far... in one week, I've gained 2 pounds! And I haven't even been TRYING to! So I weigh 126 now and I started at 120. I love 3-4 pounds when my morning sickness was bad. So I think I'm doing well for being 18 weeks :) I may even have to slow down.. But I cant see myself gaining much weight throughout the pregnancy :)

I really should have James start taking pictures of my belly. This pic was taken yesterday, 10/9 on my 17 week mark, 23 weeks to go!

10/6 appointment

My appointment went well. We asked if we could possibly have an ultrasound that day, but I have to wait till I'm 20 weeks, just like everyone else, sadly. Lol. So my ultrasound is on Oct. 30th. We will be going to Vegas Oct. 26th - 29th, just for a vacation. We haven't ever had a real vacation, so we want to take one before we have the baby :) Anyways, So the doc kept us waiting 40 mins again.. she did on our first appointment with her... Ugh. Annoying!! I told her I am pretty much set on no for an epidural and that I will not take narcotics. So at least she knows I would rather go without.. For now. Lol. I don't think I have much else to say about it! I will keep thinking about it through the day and update later. My next Dr appointment is on 11/6 :)

Hello all you blog readers.. which there probably isn't many! Any who :P So lets update.. My belly button it starting to not be as deep. I should take a picture of it. Lol. My feet are swollen once in a while. I think that depends on how much cleaning I've been doing.. If I'm not cleaning, I'm sitting on my rump watching tv :D I LOVE fruit lately. My day will be ruined if I don't eat any fruit. My fav lately is oranges. That's probably because that the only fruit I have. I'm sure my fav fruits would be what ever I can get my mits on to! Mmm.. And I've been craving squash. I've been craving it for a while now but I always forget to buy one.. Silly, I know. Mmm... and pot roast..... I'm going to make my self drool! James made a roast a few weeks back with carrots and potatoes.. Sooooo good! Yum. Oh! Sherridan bought me a pregnancy organizer! I love it! I've been so afraid to write in it because its so cute! And then I assigned a pen for it so all the writing would be the same.. But I forgot and then since I was so paranoid about my writing being perfect, I messed up so many times! Ugh. And now I just don't care so I can be like a normal person and just write! Its very handy though. It has places where you write all the numbers you need and use everyday and numbers you need to call during labor and things you need to do before hand. It tells you what you should prepare during what times. Its pretty much 'The' pregnancy organizer! Helps me out with a lot of things :) So on Monday we have our second appointment with my doctor. And on that day we will be able to schedule our ultrasound to find out the gender! Yay! Last appointment I had I forgot to make a list of things to ask my doc, so we just kind of talked abut general things. I felt kind of dumb.. But I swear! Everyone forgets everything they want to ask as soon as they are in the office! .... At least I always do.. So I've been making a list (The organizer has a list of things to ask the doc too!) and I will hopefully be well prepared for this next appointment! :) I've also figured out that the more trips you make to the bathroom (the more water you drink) the better you feel. I tend to drink a lot more water then the daily recommended amount. Oh! And I eat straight, non-flavored vitamin c just as a treat :) Pop one in, chew it up and enjoy! (DO NOT TRY THIS IS YOU CANNOT STAND SOUR THINGS!!!) I love it. Alright, I could go on forever, but this is a long enough blog! I will update about my appointment so check in Monday after 5! 16 weeks today! 24 weeks to go!

Update about appointment

I talked to James today about the blood test and we both think its unnecessary because its purely for Down Syndrome and no one in either of our families has it. I called my doctor to make sure that's all the blood test was for and to find out if my appointment was just for the blood test or if it was for a check up. And it's just a check up :) Happy, happy, Joy, Joy! :P So I'm happy now :) I think I could live off cold medium cheddar cheese and ice water. Mmmmmm....

Yesterday's Appointment

So I didn't get the ultrasound I was hoping for.. And I won't for at least 3 weeks. We did get a gooood long listen to the heartbeat to make sure it kept going at a steady pace and I would assume to make sure there were no murmurs or anything. All of my tests came back PERFECT! I've never gotten a higher test score in my life! :P So it was just a nice appointment to meet my doctor and talk to her about anything and everything. And I like her! She's very happy and smiley! She didn't rush me, how ever we did wait 40 minutes for her in the room. But I do like her.Oh! This just popped in my head, I will be delivering at LDS, I don't remember if I've mentioned that in a previous blog or not. My next appointment is on 10/6 and I'm not looking forward to it because I'm 'volunteering' to do a 'voluntary' blood screening, but I'm being forced to do it by my doc.. I don't think its even covered by insurance. Hmm.. I'll have to call about that.. Anyways, when I go to that appointment we will set up when to do my next ultrasound. She may not want to do it till 20 weeks, I'll be 16 weeks at this next appointment. But since she's forcing me to have a needle shoved in my arm I'm going to ask her if she will do one that week. I'll let ya know! Oh, I'm going to go buy maternity pants today! Yay :)

Appointment next week

Yay! I'm kind of excited for it because I know they wont ask for any blood and I can keep all my clothes on! Lol.. That's horrible. ANYWAYS!! I really hope they do an ultrasound so we can find out what we're having. I guess that's about all I have to say.. So.. Have a good one :)

Random Update

So on Thursday I will be 3 months! That means I only have 6 months left! Scary :( So I've been trying other prenatal vitamins and I tried one (Natelle Plus) on Sunday night and it made me SO SO sick! Gave me a migraine, I threw up like 3 times. I was sick almost all day yesterday because of it too. But I'm better now :) So I called my insurance about this other kind I've taken and they didn't make me sick, Duet DHA ec. They are wonderful. They are also expensive, prescription only. My co-pay is $40 and the rest is covered, but that is a lot for a vitamin. I talked to James about it and he agreed that if they don't make me sick and I can take them every day that we will get them. They are what baby needs and I can handle them.. So that's our 'justification'. So my appointment is in 2 weeks from today. Hopefully we will be able to find out if we are having a boy or girl :)

Ultrasound!

I got my ultrasound done. 1 baby! We won't be able to tell if its a boy or girl for a few more weeks. I have an appointment with my doctor on 9/16 so we might get lucky have be able to have an ultrasound and find out! I'm due March 19th. Our fav pic is first one. That's baby's little feet! Enjoy :)

Stupid STUPID receptionist

So today I went to my doctors ultrasound technician to have what else? My ultrasound. My original appointment was set up for 8/29 @ 9:45 but I had called on Monday and 'rescheduled' it for today at 11:45. Apparently the stupid girl didn't book me for that time.. So After I had been there for an hour I went up and asked if I was there at the right time. I got so mad! I started crying. The lady got all defensive, "I'm sorry.. It's not my fault" said in the most careless voice!!! Urgh... So I missed a whole bunch of work for nothing. And I still have to miss more work tomorrow! I guess it helps to know that James isn't frustrated and that he will actually get to go with me to see our baby tomorrow :) I think it's way way too early to kind out if were having a boy or girl, but I really hope we can find out so I can start buying stuff!! I want to start stocking up on diapers and bottles. I also made a baby registry at babies-r-us. Y'all can take a look see if you would like :)

I did it..

And got it over with. I bawled. and had to have James hold me the entire time. It's not like it hurts or anything. It's just absolutely disgusting.. :( But I did it and its over with. I'm home sick today. I've thrown up almost 3 times.. I'm on the verge again. I have my ultrasound tomorrow, so I will ask my doctor how the results are. So I've discovered my new best friend. A sports bra. I LOVE it! Wonderful :)

Appointment changed!

I changed my ultrasound appointment and I will have it on Thursday instead. Fridays time was a bit too early, and I probably would have missed the appointment. So It's on Thursday, which means I have one less day to go get my blood taken :( My Dr. appointment is on 9/16. I will definitely post after that because it will be my first time meeting with my actual doctor. Can you believe I've never met her?? Weird..

My appointment yesterday

Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be... all because I talked the lady out of making me give blood.. BUT! I do have to have it done before I go in to see my doctor in 3 weeks. So she gave me the best option I think is out there. I have my paperwork, so all I need to do it wait for a certain bout of courage and I can go to the new hospital in the valley when ever I want. I was also told its ok to take half a xanax! That makes me so happy. Piece of cake.. Kind of. Anyways, So we heard the heartbeat. the little bugger was hiding behind my veins so it was kind of hard to hear over my heartbeat which was LOUD and FAST.. I was nervous.. I started crying when she was talking about taking blood.. Lame. But we heard it! And I am going in on Friday again to have an ultrasound so see exactly how far along I am. The doctor thinks I'm about 9-10 weeks. I was thinking I was 10-12, So I was waaay close!But.. She could be way off, hence the reason we're doing the ultrasound :) She told me to get LOTS and LOTS of protein and fiber. When you're pregnant, you GI tract slows 50%! Horrible, huh! She gave me the same prescription for my stomach meds, Zolfran, that I was taking before because it's awesome. She also gave me a prescription for Zoloft because I've been a bit depressed because of all the hormone changes. That should go away with the morning sickness all because my body will be getting used to the hormones. I also have a constant headache, that's because your body creates a whole bunch more blood for the baby. My doctor also gave me like 6 different kinds of vitamins with DHA to sample to see what one I like best. Have you seen those pills?!?!? They are freaking massive!!! They don't look like something you swallow... I was also given a bunch of magazines and informational papers on what I can and cant eat. I think that's about all the exciting things from my appointment. Right after mine I went with my friend Allyse to her appointment for the same reason as me because everyone bailed on her. She had an ultrasound! And she's only about 13 weeks but they already think its a boy! Well, they are 65% sure its a boy, but that's a GOOD percent! Alrighty, Here is a pic of my belly :) I can't do my pants up! I will scan a pic of my ultrasound when I get it next Friday. Did I miss anything you wanted to know about? Let me know! :)

TERRIFIED!

I just thought I would post a blog about how utterly terrified I am about tomorrow! I told James yesterday that I'm really scared for it and he said there is NO reasons why they would absolutely have to take blood. So if I can get away with it, I am! Anyways... Here are the pics of my tests. Oh! I've been feeling little butterflies in my tummy. I thought it was just gas (I know! How disgusting!) But apparently its movement! So the first pic is obviously the first test I took. That led the taking a second test for assurance. And the third test was taken at IHC Instacare when I went in for my horrible morning sickness. The doctor walked in and said, "I'm terrible at breaking news.." and just handed me the test and said "Congratulations!" That was kinda awkward.. Lol!

8/18/08

So I decided that I would like to create a blog so all my friends can keep updated on my pregnancy :) So I had been feeling sick for about a week and a half and I kept asking people what they thought might be wrong with me. My mom suggested a few things. we thought it could have been salmonella, inner ear infection. but when she suggested that I could be pregnant I just pushed the thought aside for a few days. When I realized that I wasn't getting any better I decided it wouldn't be such a bad idea to at least get a test. That way I could rule out what was wrong with me. Well, July 31st I took the life-changing test. I took another test the next day, just to be sure. And sure enough! About a week later I had been so sick that I had to go to Instacare and get some thing to help my stomach! By this time I had already called my doctor and set up an appointment. But she's a really busy doctor so I have to wait till the 22nd (Which is this Friday!! :( I'm terrified.. They have to take blood!) So Instacare prescribed me Zofran, which is perfectly safe. It has helped, but it only does so much, I've been SO SO sick! There is no relief! Hopefully I only have about 2 weeks left of this. Morning sickness usually last from week 6 to week 12. So I've been sick for a little over 4 weeks now. Which would put me around 2 1/2 months, maybe even closer to 3 months. Anyways, I've found that ginger ale helps a lot! I also found some suckers called Preggie Pops that help. Pretty much anything sour that's not acidic is wonderful! I've also never really had any heartburn till now. That's probably because my esophagus is tired from throwing up all the time! Well, that's about all for now. I would tell you the names we have picked out, but they are secret for now!!!
